I was responsible for the lighting set up on this shot and was provided with photographs of a proxy car shot in the environment for reference. The brief was to try and match the lighting set up and shadows. I used a series of area lights and spot lights coupled with a bespoke HDRI for reflections.

The car used was supplied CAD data in IGES format which required some optimization to maximize reliability in rendering. The photo back plate and HDRI were shot by prestigious car photographer Bob Stevens on location and required tone mapping and re-touching.

Rendered in 3ds Max using RenderDrive, all post work in Photoshop.
